Atsushi Yasuda President
As President, I have the challenge and privilege of growing AAM in the most effective and efficient way possible. I trust my partners to operate the business. Anthony Iannuzzi sells the vision of “the potential” to customers and potential customers while Arij Sheepers delivers the optimal customer experience through our services process. This gives me the chance to focus my energies on the big challenges and opportunities. That could mean spending my day recruiting the next strategic hire, talking to potential collaboration partners or talking to customers on their business initiatives. I love the variety. Neural Plasticity!
Having spent 30+ years in professional services and consulting for tech companies, I really enjoy the challenge of scaling a consultancy and being able to work with a great team and amazing clients.
A Little-Known Thing About Me
I was born in Japan and my family moved to British Columbia (Canada) when I was a toddler and the only word I knew how to say was NO.
Favourite Food
I love the food scene in Toronto and so I really appreciate good food, paired with great wine. But a great bowl of ramen will forever be my weakness.
Favourite Thing To Do
I love to find places to hike with Biggens, my French bulldog, and I will never turn down the opportunity to play a round of golf.
Anthony Iannuzzi Co-Founder and Principal Architect
At my core, I’m both a problem solver and a people person. I find equal joy in spending hours chatting with clients/prospects about their goals, pains, challenges, as I do in being heads-down strategizing to develop roadmaps and solutions for our clients. As the Principal Architect, I have the privilege of tapping into these things on a daily basis, where each day brings new challenges to solve and new people to meet.
This is also how AAM itself came to be. AAM was founded with a mission to do meaningful work with good people, this is true both for the amazing team we’ve built, but also our incredible clients, who are all very near and dear to us. I am continually humbled by the types of clients we work with, the kinds of problems we solve, and the trajectories we’ve helped establish and propel. To say I’m proud is an understatement, and I can’t wait to see where we go from here…
A Little-Known Thing About Me
My mother used to own the largest modeling agency in the East coast of Canada when I was younger. As you can probably guess, that meant I spent many years as a model and actor, being carted around and participating in many fashion shows, photo shoots, radio/TV ads, and everything in between. I remember those days fondly, even though I haven’t spoken about them in years. I suppose it helped establish my outgoing and passionate nature; and I will be forever thankful for the people I got to meet, the skills I learned, and most importantly the confidence and comfort in being my true self no matter who the audience is.
Favourite Food
Oh man, how do I pick just one! Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE a good BBQ , but I am OBSESSED with any meal that has noodles, especially in soup! I must admit though that the winner is a classic meal, and one that my beautiful wife is a master at making, including her own version of a cherished family sauce… Chicken Parmigiana!
Favourite Thing To Do
Explore, strategize, and compete. This is what gravitated me to my love of video and tabletop games, especially ones that can be played with friends (shoutout to World of Warcraft and Dungeons & Dragons!). There is nothing more satisfying than working with a team to defeat a common foe, be it a fire breathing dragon, or a struggling tech stack and everything in between.
Arij Sheepers Managing Director
As Managing Director, my focus is on our clients. My goal is to enable our team to provide exceptional service, with the core focus centered around what matters most to our clients’ businesses. If we aren’t moving the needle, we aren’t doing our job. Enabling the team to deliver this experience is multifaceted. I spend my days meeting with our clients, meeting with our team, and developing processes that enable us to continue to provide excellent services as we scale. I do everything from project management, to scoping out new engagements, to HR. The joy of scaling a small practice is the fluidity to wear many hats, all while maintaining a commitment to service delivery, and operational excellence. My role also involves working alongside AAM’s leadership to craft scalable business strategies and overseeing financial management to ensure sustainable growth and success for both our clients and our firm.
A Little-Known Thing About Me
My favourite season is winter. I love the snow and the peacefulness of the season, and I find the cold refreshing. There is something to be said for sitting inside, warm and toasty, while it is blizzarding outside. Having grown up in Stratford (the snow belt), I can say that Toronto winters do not quite match up to my childhood memories.
Favourite Food
I’d struggle to pick one favourite food. I love to travel to eat, and love many different cuisines, and living in Toronto is a pleasure as I can get any type of food from any culture at almost any time! My last big trip pre-COVID was to China, and I can say that the best thing I ate were noodles from a random street stall that cost maybe 1 or 2 dollars.
Favourite Thing To Do
I love the outdoors and try to schedule regular camping or fishing trips throughout the year!
